For travelers wishing to drop in Tabanan, it will be incomplete without making a visit to the Puri Anyar at Kerambitan village. The Puri Anyar Kerambitan was the former palace of the Tabanan Kingdom built around the seventeenth century. Although it has been long built, its condition remains to be well-maintained where the buildings have distinctive Balinese style. The Puri Anyar Kerambitan has ancient heritages and famous paintings made during the period of royal administration in the past.
Travelers visiting the Puri Anyar Kerambitan will be welcomed with a variety of Balinese art performances such as Tektekan, Joged Bumbung, Andir and Legong Leko and equipped with a royal banquet-style dinner. Thus, visitors will feel like a king in ancient times.
The Puri Anyar Kerambitan is built adjacent to the Puri Agung Kerambitan which is also a royal heritage of the ancient Bali. Like the royal architecture in general, the Puri Anyar Kerambitan is divided into several sections called palebahan or courtyard. They include the Cangem Kodok, Bencingah Puri, Jaba Tengah, Tandakan Puri, Seren Agung and the Pemerajan Agung Puri Anyar Kerambitan located at Baturiti village, Kerambitan subdistrict, Tabanan. It is about 28 km from Denpasar and takes about 80 minute from Ngurah by car.
