Tanah Lot becomes a favorite tourist attraction in Bali. It is fine that the tourist attraction located at Beraban village, Kediri subdistrict, Tabanan is always crowded with visitors. During the period of January to May 2015, there were 1,297,856 domestic and foreign travelers making a visit to this famous object offering magnificent sunset and cultural attraction.

If specified for each month, where in January 2015 it recorded the visitors amounting to 255,877 people, February (242,776 people), March (220,463 people), April (247,377 people) and May (331,363 people). “Compared to the tourist arrival of the same period in 2014, it shows an increase of one percent, which only reaches 1,289,631 people,” said Toya Adnyana, Operations Manager of the Tanah Lot tourist attraction.

Toya admitted that of the 1,297,856 people, it is still dominated by domestic travelers with a total of 742,324 people, while the remaining 555,532 people are foreign travelers. “On that account, the foreign and domestic tourist arrival is never deserted to Tanah Lot,” he said.

Such a large number of domestic and foreign tourist arrivals, explained Toya Adnyana, happen because Tanah Lot has beautiful natural scenery, especially sunset. On particular days the management also organizes live cultural procession because there are always pilgrims saying prayers at Tanah Lot Temple.
In addition, the priority given to comfort and safety of visitors also becomes a reason for the increasing number of travelers visiting Tanah Lot. In this case, his party always provides comfort for visitors and continuously makes improvement to local infrastructure. Among the efforts, his party also refurbished the facilities for pedestrian (sidewalk), representative toilet, resting place for drivers and tour leaders as well as adequate information room.

To maintain the security of visitors enjoying the beauty of Tanah Lot tourist attraction, his party also involves dozens of pecalang (customary security guard), security, lifesavers as well as CCTV cameras at strategic places. “The management will organize an event entitled ‘Tanah Lot Baleganjur Festival’ expected to provide memories and new experiences for travelers making a visit,” he said.

Other than being presented with natural scenery, travelers will also be entertained with various art events so that travelers do not get bored during their visit to Tanah Lot tourist attraction. “By making these efforts, we expect to continuously increase tourist arrivals to Tanah Lot,” he concluded.
