All this time, the performing arts always present the results of creativity process. However, it is different from this performing art where what showed to the audience is precisely the creativity process. More interestingly, the players in this case serving as the creators of the arts consisting of the artists of cross generations such as senior artists, college students to rural children meet together to cultivate the flavor in the art creativity.
It is the art show denoting a transfer of creativity at the Rumah Kreatif Batu Belah Art Space, Lepang Klungkung. The activity taking the theme ‘Global Change ‘Art’ Climate gives priority on the ‘art event process’ or the importance of the process, not the result of the arts. This agenda lasts from March to June 20, 2015.
The art event supported by the Ministry of Education and Culture as well as the regent of Klungkung involves a total of 60 students coalesced into the members of The Explore community. Children around the Lepang village, a number of elementary school students in Klungkung as well as a number of senior artist mentors mingle in some activities.
The activities include painting workshop led by senior artists and the attraction of performing art responding to the work of the artists. “We only provide space for them in the hope that their artistic creativity is able to understand the process together. The term of directly transferring knowledge from the artists to the students is beyond the academic,” said the organizer, I Wayan Sujana Suklu, who is also the owner of the Batu Belah Art Space, amid the activities.
Transfer of creativity posing the core of the art activities with the theme ‘Global Change ‘Art’ Climate’ provides a new vehicle where they are expected to contribute to the sensitivity of thinking about the environment. “The art concept instilled is Rethinking Green, Rethinking Blue and Rethinking White that are applied in the works, namely our environment is green, our air is clean and so on,” said Cok Ratna Cora, a designer getting involved in this activity.
In the meantime, an artist from Padangtegal, Ubud, named Nano U Hero, presents an installation work criticizing the lands in Bali that are getting sold more easily. The artist Nano often makes a statement in the form of banner Not for Sale at wetlands such as paddy fields, and some other places in Bali like in Ubud, Nusa Penida and currently it is installed on Lepang Beach.
The work of Nano U Hero with the concept of planting water is responded by contemporary dancer Adi Siput presented on Saturday (May 30) at the Rumah Batu Belah Art Space and Lepang Beach. In the meantime, the painting work of artist Wayan Sujana Suklu is presented with Balinese comedian Cedil. There are also happening art and music presented by The Explore and some other artists.
